think this is the season 5 setup?

basically there are no more flashbacks or forwards.
it looks like it will be showing the future of them getting ff. and also it will show what is happening on the island a few years in the past. therefore i believe this:

season 5 finale will lead up to locke leaving the island and ultimately show his death.

meanwhile, in the future it will show them going back to the island and locke's resurrection.

either way, i dont think locke is dead.

They need to show more flashbacks in order to answer all of those questions we have and to better explain things about the Island. Danielle's storyline is a must, in that it will answer the question about the 'sickness' and explain some things that went on for the 16 years she was there.

honestly, i heard this somewhere else, they said that the future will be the present and the present will become the past.....as in the present will be off the island getting the o6 back together to go backa and the flashbacks will be that of the SAwyer,Juliet,Bernard rose...etc on the island. thats just what i heard though....idk

That sounds like it's gonna be way confusing.
Confused just thinking about it.

Although I agree that I'd love to see this, I'm not so sure I agree with your reasoning CK. I don't think her back story will explain anything extra about the sickness. Didn't you recognise it among the freighter crew?
Also maybe the Others were picking them off like they did the Taileys. (They also stole the kids.) But just did a better job of fudging the issue, plus maybe the effects of the sickness, to make them think they were doing it to themselves!
The questions it could answer though include; What happened to all the rest of the stolen children (from the Taileys, 'original' Dharma villagers, Danielle's fellow crew members & maybe all the way back to the slave ship)? How was Alex different? How'd Ben end up raising her? How'd he know to call her Alex? Karl's story (or at least its beginning)?
Also possible tie-ins to what happened to Walt? How was he more than they bargained for? Etc,etc

I agree about the children. Where the heck are these kids?? Heck, they'll be adults before we know it at this rate
