Episode 2's returning character
Most of us already know that Michelle Rodriguez will be back in the 2nd episode of the season. However in a review for the premiere event the reviewer suggested that her return isn't what we would expect, Flashback or Ghost, which would lead me to wonder how she will be appearing.

As her own mother or twin sister maybe?
Alternate timeline where she never got onboard the plane in the first place and that's why they all have to go back.
they escaped into the wrong timeline when the island vanished?

A Twin Sister might be a bit to soap operaish. Her own Mother could happen, if the island is trapped in a past timeline and she was somehow involved or we see the mainland.
The new time line thing could be a likely idea. The Island jumps back into the past causing a new time line and this time the crash doesn't happen allowing Anna Lucia to be alive.
Only because these people are meant to be dead it causes problems
