Lost Easter Eggs

This comes from BuddyTV

- In the altverse, John Locke’s alarm clock ring is eerily similar to the sound the Hatch made when the countdown began to enter the Numbers and press the button.

- Blocking Locke’s door in the parking lot was Hurley’s giant yellow Hummer he bought in the original timeline with his lotto winnings.

- As in the original timeline, Locke’s boss at the box company is still Randy Nations, Hurley’s lame boss from Mr. Cluck’s prior to winning the lotto.

- The temp agent who asked Locke what kind of animal he would be was played by the same actress who played Lynn Karnoff, a psychic Hurley visited after winning the lottery in season 3’s “Tricia Tanaka is Dead."

- In the altverse, Locke succeeded in proposing to Helen, suggesting that the reason for their break-up (Locke’s obsession with his father) is not an issue in this timeline.

- In his cubicle, Locke has a photo of him and his father from their hunting trip. Combined with the fact that Helen suggested inviting him to the wedding, this suggests that Anthony Cooper is not responsible for Locke’s paralysis in the altverse.

- While it is most likely a coincidence, the young actor who played the teenage boy in the jungle, Kenton Duty, appears in the movie 2:13 with Mark Pellegrino, who plays Jacob on Lost. Perhaps the kid is a young Jacob.

- Despite no longer being Locke, Flocke uses the same expression frequently used by the man he possesses when the creepy little boy tells him that he “can’t kill him."

- While drinking alone in his house, Sawyer listens to Iggy Pop’s version of the song “Search and Destroy." The song is about a “forgotten boy" who wants someone to “save my soul."

Ep.5 easter eggs

While running through the dial, Jack sees images of a pagoda in the mirror. This is the pagoda where Jin and Sun were married, the place Jacob visited them.

The exercise bike Desmond used in his daily routine is seen in Jack's bedroom in the flash-sideways timeline.

While running through the dial, Jack sees images of a church in the mirrors. This is the church where Sawyer’s parents were buried, the place Jacob visited him.

When the dial turns to Jack’s number, 23, it shows Jack’s childhood home. Oddly, this is NOT where we saw Jacob visit him, possibly suggesting that there’s something special about Jack, or that the number 23 belongs to a different Shephard, maybe his dad Christian.

On the liquor table in Jack’s dad’s house, there was a bottle of MacCutcheon whiskey. This is the drink of choice for Charles Widmore and Anthony Cooper (Locke’s dad).

On David’s desk in the altverse was the sheet music to Frederic Chopin’s “Fantasie-Impromptu." This is the same song young Daniel Faraday was seen practicing in “The Variable."

Alice in Wonderland is often used on Lost surrounding Jack, either with the titles of Jack-centric episodes (“White Rabbit," “Through the Looking Glass") or when he was shown reading it to Aaron the same way he claims he read it to his son David in the altverse.

Jack found the key to David’s mom’s house under a stone rabbit. Not only do rabbits frequently appear on Lost, but a similar stone rabbit with a key was previously found by Miles in a flashback when he used it to enter the apartment of a recently deceased man named Mr. Vonner.

In the regular timeline, Jack’s appendix was removed on the Island, but in the altverse, Jack seemingly forgot that he had his removed when he was 7.

While at the caves, Hurley theorized that the skeletons were actually Hurley and Jack if they time traveled back to dinosaur times. Since the skeletons were first discovered in season 1, this has been a popular theory among fans on the Internet.

Ep.6 easter eggs

-The song Claire sang while in the hole that also played over the final scene was from this children’s song that Claire wanted Aaron’s potential adoptive parents to sing to him because her dad (Christian Shephard) used to sing it to her. In the flash forwards, Kate was shown singing the song to Aaron.

- The hieroglyph on the wall Ilana pushes to open the secret door is a Shen Ring. Among other things, this means “protection," likely referring to a safe passage from the Smoke Monster.

- Sayid was taken to the same restaurant kitchen Naomi took Miles to recruit him to join the Kahana.

- The hieroglyph on the wall Ilana pushes to open the secret door is a Shen Ring. Among other things, this means “protection," likely referring to a safe passage from the Smoke Monster. It also means eternity, the word shen means encircle in Egyptian. And could be stretched to contain other objects which were then understood as being eternally protected by the shen ring

- If you didn’t recognize him, Martin Keamy, the loan shark Sayid’s brother borrowed money from, was also the head of the mercenary team Charles Widmore sent to the Island in season 4. In that timeline, he and Sayid fought and Sayid stabbed him in the back.

- In the original timeline, Omar was also a mercenary and member of Keamy’s team. He appeared to have a previous working experience with Keamy, thus explaining why he is with Keamy in the altverse.

- As happened with Shannon’s dad in the original timeline, Sayid’s brother is brought to Jack’s hospital, St. Sebastian.

- Dogan had Sayid drowned leading to his death in the season 6 premiere. Sayid got his revenge by drowning Dogan in the same manner.

- Dogen mentions his son, who was previously seen in the flash-sideways timeline

- The Man in Black asks Sayid "What if you could?" in response to an impossible hope. It mirrors what Desmond asked Jack in regard to fixing Sarah's spine.

Re: Lost Easter Eggs

Easter eggs for Dr. Linus

In the altverse, Don Reynolds is the principal of Ben’s school. “Reynolds" was also one of the names written on the wall of the cave Flocke took Sawyer to in “The Substitute."

In the original timeline, Ben used gas to kill his father. In the altverse, he’s seen helping his father by replacing his oxygen tank.

While searching through Sawyer’s tent, Ben finds this book by Chaim Potok about two young boys who develop a friendship. The book features theme of science, religion and the father-son relationship, all very important on Lost.

While looking through Sawyer’s tent, Ben found a copy of a book with Benjamin Disraeli on the cover based on the former prime minister’s famous quote, “Justice is truth in action." The notion of justice frequently occurs on Lost in relation to the Island and trying to even the scales.

In “Expose," Nikki and Paulo stole eight million dollars worth of diamonds and were ultimately buried with them. Miles, likely clued in by hearing the dead, knew the diamonds were there despite not being present for their burial and dug them up.

In the altverse, Alex is still named Alexandra Rousseau, though she says her mother works two jobs, suggesting that Danielle is also in Los Angeles.

In the original timeline, Ben sacrificed his daughter Alex for his own power. In the altverse, he made a different choice, just like how Locke chose to accept that there are things he can’t do or how Sayid accepted that he is a cold-blooded killer.

When Charles Widmore was exiled from the Island, he was sent away in the DHARMA Initiative’s submarine, the Galaga. Here, Widmore returns to the Island, also via submarine.

Re: Lost Easter Eggs

Easter Eggs from Episode 8 recon

8:42 on the clock:The Numbers made another appearance in this episode, this time on Sawyer's flash-sideways scenes, with the clock at 8:42 when he wakes up with Ava.

LaFleur: LaFleur was, of course, the name Sawyer adopted in the original timeline as he infiltrated the DHARMA Initiative and became its head of security. In the alternate timeline, he used it as a code during his sting operation, signalling the police to enter the room and arrest Ava. Also interesting: he assumed the name of "Jimmy" during the sting, which ties in with his DHARMA identity, Jim LaFleur.

Anthony Cooper: Despite being a cop rather than a con man, Sawyer is still out looking for "the real Sawyer", Anthony Cooper, thus, his flight to Australia (where he still killed a different Anthony Cooper). Something to think about: with Cooper now in good graces with Locke, could it be that Sawyer's looking for a different person in the alternate timeline?

Dr. Chang is alive:
The first mention of Dr. Chang this season came from alternate timeline Miles, as he explained the identity of Sawyer's blind date as a friend "who worked with my dad at the museum". We can assume that Dr. Chang left the Island before it was sunk underwater, and is still alive in Los Angeles.
-This would mean the island didn't sink right after the bomb, some time passed.

Sawyer's Island reading list: Some of the books Sawyer read in earlier seasons can be found on his alternate timeline bedroom drawer. He first read Watership Down, a story about rabbits, on "Confidence Man". Children's book A Wrinkle In Time first appeared in "Numbers". Finally, the surrealist novel Lancelot first appeared in "Maternity Leave".

Kate's dress: The first hint in this episode that Sawyer's feelings for Kate are returning, we see him picking up her dress in the polar bear cages where they were held prisoner - the very same dress she wore before they made love in "I Do".

Little House on the Prairie: Sawyer once told the story of watching this classic television series when he was a sick kid. In the alternate timeline, he's still sticking to the habit, watching a taped copy once he gets home from work - and perhaps giving a subtle nod to future episodes...

The sunflower: Sawyer tried to woo Charlotte back in the alternate timeline by giving her a single sunflower - the same thing he gave Juliet in "LaFleur". In that episode, things ended with a kiss. In this episode, well, it didn't end so good.

Lethal Weapon: Miles and Sawyer's relationship in the alternate timeline can be compared to that of Roger Murtaugh and Martin Riggs in the Lethal Weapon films: straight cop deals with renegade cop. It also, somehow, echos Sawyer's close relationship with Miles during their years at the DHARMA Initiative.
